Following the footprints of Maharashtra , Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala, the Gujarat state government is planning to launch the website for Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority by next week.
According to Manjula Subramaniam , Interim Chairman, RERA Gujarat, the website will give developers an option to register their projects and real estate agents to register themselves with the RERA online. It will also benefit buyers as they can check the details of RERA registered projects registered while being at their preferred place.
RERA Gujarat will work on the basis of seven zone structure system. The department has appointed three planning assistants from AUDA and AMC and junior town planner of AUDA. The junior town planner will supervise planning assistants. The government has also appointed senior town planning officers to provide assistance to realtors in the process of registration. Realtors and buyers can also visit RERA offices of these seven zones for registration and filing complaints respectively.
The Gujarat Real Estate (Regulation & development) Act came into effect on May 1st, 2017. This Act mandates all developers to register their on-going projects and real estate agents to register themselves with the RERA.
