Citing the problems faced by home buyers in Maharashtra, the Chairman of Maharashtra Real Estate (Regulation & development) Act , Gautam Chatterjee said that the builders have to register their projects with the RERA and complaints about unregistered projects can be registered under this period for free of cost.
However, as per the rules, a fee of Rs. 5000 is required to file a complaint. Mr. Chatterjee also said that the buyers can lodge complaints via email or directly visiting the help desk of Maharashtra RERA. The complaints received will be probed by the team of 25 officials and once it will get verified, a suitable action, which may include a fine up to 5% of the project cost, will be taken against the builder .
The RERA rules of Maharashtra mandate developers to register their projects before July 30, 2017. As of now, 15 projects have been registered and 1,053 brokers have registered themselves with the authority.
As our project has already been completed but since on few flat's has not been sold out & is it necessary to open new Bank A/c for Rera? Plz let us know as early as possible.
