Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has warned the ruling Congress Government in Karnataka to stage a protest if the state government fails to notify and implement the Karnataka Real Estate (Regulation & development) Act, RERA by July 10th 2017.
According to Suresh Kumar, MLA & spokesperson of BJP, the state government has failed drastically to notify the RERA on the given deadline of 1st May 2017. The state government intentionally deferred the meetings with home buyers' associations, even after getting nudged by Rahul Gandhi.
He also alleged the government of favouring the developers and said that the developers are more important to the CM than party president and vice president.
The Central government implemented the RERA on 1st May 2016 and directed all states to notify the same by 1st May 2017 but most of the states failed to do so.
