The state government of Goa has extended the window for receiving suggestions related to the draft rules of Goa Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act (Goa RERA).
Panaji has invited objections and recommendations from real estate stakeholders before notifying this latest real estate reform.
The director of urban development, Goa, J Ashok Kumar stated that the foreseeing to receive more suggestions from real estate developers , buyers, agents, engineers, agents, architects and Chartered accountants, the government decided to give more time to review the draft rules.
Earlier, the deadline for submitting suggestions and objections related to the RERA draft rules was 3rd September.
Apparently, 24 states and all the Union territories have notified the RERA. Goa along with Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and West Bengal are the states which lag far behind others in implementing the RERA.
