The Punjab state government has recently launched the website for Punjab Real Estate Regulatory authority , Punjab RERA. The website facilitates online registration of real estate projects, real estate agents and filing of complaints. It also contains details of real estate agents and projects registered with the Punjab RERA.
According to Sunil Sodhi, a suffering home buyer, the launch of the website is a big relief for the buyers. Now we know how and whom to approach to get the justice. Appreciating the initiative to spread awareness about the RERA, he said apnarera.com is helping millions of buyers to know about their rights under the RERA. It is also benefiting realtors to know about state-wise RERA rules, RERA registration fee and more.
A real estate agent based in Ludhiana said that the launch of the RERA Punjab website is a great move to bring professionalism in the realty sector. Though the government has launched the website, it needs moderations and I think these will be done soon. An online platform to register with the RERA will save a lot of time and will surely help us to do the business as per the RERA rules .
The government of Punjab has notified the RERA on 8 June 2017 and appointed Sh. N.S. Kang, IAS (PB:83) as the chairman of Punjab RERA. The RERA Punjab aims to protect the interest of realtors & buyers, facilitate the development and infuse transparency in the real estate sector of the state.
