Counting the bulk number of complaints filed by the aggrieved buyers who are waiting for their homes for a long time, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority has decided to assign the vice chairmen of various development authorities to hear the complaints filed by them.
The interim chairman of UP RERA has assigned the task of hearing complaints of property buyers to the secretary of UP RERA along with a special secretary housing and vice chairmen of seven development authorities. He has also directed the officials to give appropriate judgment for all the complaints within two months.
The RERA has divided the state into 16 divisions, which will help in regulating the task and will allow judicatories, adequate time to hear the maximum number of complaints and give proper judgments.
According to the sources, UP RERA secretary, Abrar Ahmed is given the charge to hear complaints from home buyers from Noida and Greater Noida whereas Rajesh Pandey, special secretary of UP housing department is responsible to hear the problems of home buyers from Basti and Devipatan divisions. Apart from them, vice chairman of GDA has been designated as the nodal officer and will be hearing complaints from Moradabad and Saharanpur divisions. The VC Varanasi will be hearing cases in Azamgarh, Gorakhpur and Mirzapur divisions. VC of Meerut development authority will be hearing cases in the Agra division, whereas VC of Moradabad will be adjudicating cases in Bareilly, KDA VC in Allahabad, Jhansi and Chitrakoot, and ADA VC in Varanasi and Faizabad divisions.
The principal secretary of UP housing department who is also the interim chairman of UP RERA has passed this order after utilizing his powers under section 81 of the UP RERA Act.
