Calling to implement strict Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act (RERA), Rajasthan RERA will send final warning to more than 200 developers for not submitting the complete set of documents required for registration of a real estate project as per the RERA rules.
Earlier, the authority asked the developers to submit the remaining documents within seven days. Nevertheless, the developers failed to adhere to the orders of RERA.
Extending the deadline by another 15 days, the RERA kept windows open for the developers to submit the remaining documents followed by a penalty. Unexpectedly, the developers took this extension lightly and didn’t submit the documents.
Considering this as an act of breaching the rules of RERA, the authority is all set to take strict action against such developers by revoking the registration of the project terming the same as illegal after giving a final warning.
Upon the revocation of registration of a project as per section 7 of the RERA rules, the Authority will inform the promoter in Form-D about the same. Once the RERA revokes the registration of a project and terms it as illegal, the developer cannot market or sell the project.
It is mandatory for the developers to register their ongoing projects with the RERA and submit relevant documents mentioned in the RERA notification.
