The Maharashtra government is ready to publish final rules for the real estate act this month.
A senior official stated that "There will be no dilution of the act from our side. There were concerns from consumer bodies after the draft rules were published and hearings were held by the department. After the hearing, necessary amendments have been incorporated in the rules, which are in accordance with the central act. We are working towards implementing RERA from May 1st 2017."
Further, the official told the reporters that the file was submitted last month but due to municipal corporation elections, it was not cleared.
The Maharashtra government published the draft rules in December and asked for suggestions from consumer bodies. Total 650 suggestions and objections were heard, many of which were prescribed by central government but was not drafted in state government's rules.
According to Advocate Shirish Deshpande from Mumbai Grahak Panchayat, if the new rules for the RERA by the state government is undiluted then it will be acceptable by the people. He also added that we have been told that our suggestions were incorporated, however, until I see the printed rules I won't be assured.
Ashutosh Limaye, national director of research in JLL stated that "The fly-by-night operators will definitely be affected after the implementation of RERA," Limaye said.

any dilution in the rules !!! Which is favouring developer??
RERA cannot wait for further clarification from the public. As per my knowledge I hope state draft is like central govt with some minor changes which will not effect common buyers like us.
