Anti-Discriminatory Clause in RERA - Prevent Consumer Discrimination

The CM of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis has finalized the RERA rules for the state which will be notified and put in the public domain within a week. According to the CM, the rules are pro-consumer and are made on the lines of the Centre's Act without any dilution.

The RERA Maharashtra contains a special clause named as 'Anti-Discriminatory clause' which will prevent any discrimination that consumers have to deal with on the basis of gender, caste, ethnicity, sexual orientation or food habits.

It is to be noted that, even the Indian constitution has laws against discrimination. In recent years, many consumers have faced discrimination which has astounded them and lead to the violation of constitutional rules.

Very fair real estate rules which has announced by the authority. Here every Indian citizen will have equal opportunity to own dream homes. Now on wards developers or housing society / owners association cannot discriminate based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, age, national origin, sexual orientation and gender identity, marital status etc. This should implement in all the states.
